NComputing is transforming the affordability and sustainability of the global PC experience. There technology turns everyday desktop systems into powerful multi-user platforms for reliable, low-cost, energy-efficient computing. As many as 30 simultaneous users can access a single PC and enjoy an independent desktop experience. Thousands of schools and businesses around the world have deployed their solutions to drastically reduce PC acquisition and maintenance costs while minimizing environmental impact.
The X-series supports up to seven simultaneous users on a single shared PC. The configuration includes one or two PCI cards, each of which has three connectors. Three X-series access devices connect directly to each PCI card via standard network cables (up to 30 feet long). The X-series provides a rich PC experience that includes full-screen, full-motion video. A single PC can support seven users (the PC itself and six virtual PCs).
The L-series access devices connect to the shared computer via standard Ethernet networks. That way, users can be any distance from the shared PC—whether that’s across the hall, across campus, or across the world. And unlike the X-series, there’s no PCI card to install. L-series products come in a variety of configurations, with options that support USB flash drives and two-way audio. Up to 30 L-series users can share a single PC.
